Popilia Country Resort Pizzo Calabro

Within 140 hectares of the rolling Calabrian valleys lies a luxury country resort, owned by the Callipo Group.

It is near Vibo Valentia and is about 7 km from the historic centre of Pizzo Calabro, a seaside resort rich in history and culture. The name of the hotel was inspired by an ancient Roman Street, called Annia Popilia, which in those times linked Rome to the south of Italy.

Its Antica Crissa Restaurant, a former colonial house, is well known for its high-quality cuisine and attentive service, it  offers a variety of dishes that highlight the traditional flavours of the locality together with the best international cuisine

The hotel provides 16 rooms , all fully-equipped to the highest standards of design and comfort. Most of the rooms have a private terrace offering a stunning view of the resort and others a breath-taking sea view. Surrounding the swimming pool, there are 58 splendid cottage rooms (one/ two /three bedrooms).

Four rooms are available. Each room is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including pc and  wireless internet access. All rooms have natural daylight and a panoramic view over the Santa Eufemia Gulf and the rolling valleys of Calabria, with a maximum capacity of 300 places.

Sports and Nature: immersed in 140 hectares, the resort offers plenty of space for jogging, nature trails, 100 year-old  pinewoods, mountain biking, soccer fields and tennis courts with synthetic grass, beach volleyball and Bocce. All this makes the resort ideal for a  team building experience.

The Wellness Centre is designed to guarantee guests absolute relaxation. It provides saunas, turkish baths, emotional showers, hydromassage, Kneipp path and 5 spacious cabins for massages and beauty treatments.

The resort also offers its guests customized menus and personal advice for every event and occasion.

The resort was awarded the "Top Hotels Calabria 2012 Trivago Prize" and Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence 2013. It Received the 2014 Italian Hospitality Prize (one for the restaurant, the other for the hotel), awarded by the Chambers of Commerce of Italy. It has also the honour of having two of the most important quality certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
